Who Was Origen?

He grew up in a devout Christian home where his father, Leonidas, taught him the Scriptures from a young age.

But Origen’s life changed forever when his father was martyred under Roman persecution. Origen, still a teenager, wanted to follow him in death. His mother reportedly hid his clothes to prevent him from leaving the house and turning himself in!
